Annual Meeting

President Robert Osterman proclaimed a quorum with all members present along with Paul Kosel, Groton Independent.

The treasurer's report was approved by Rick Pigors and seconded by Rodney Kappes with a checking account balance of $17,383.82 and $21,851.48 in reserve fund for trucks.

Bills presented at the meeting are as follows: Metro Fire $8,424.27, Dakota Electronics $62.50, Groton Firemen $41, James Valley Telecom $32.74, Duane's $169.07, Pioneer Ford $95.36, Ken's $56.00, Charles Bell $20.00, EMC $25.00, OSI $691.10, Optiumum Energy $184.95, Kolker Law $7,890.84, City of Groton $225.99, Northwestern $311.53, Dakota Electronics $1,710.00.

Income are as follows: Ag Grant $9,000.00, Firemen $1,134.27, Jeff Howard $335.00, Stratford Fire Dept. $1,655.20, Pat Sanderson memorial $500.00, Albert Cox $62.00.

Rodney Kappes made motion to accept and pay all bills except only $3,500.99 to Kolker Law. Harlan Radke Jr. seconded.

Fire Chief's Report: We received our $10,000 grant money. All new firemen completed and passed first half fire fighters class and built new hose rack. This year plan to apply for additional grants and do second half fire fighters class, new batteries were put in truck #7, gas furnace fixed and have not heard about AFG grant yet, so still have chance to receive money.

Dion Bahr made motion to buy government Jeep for $1 and Bruce Sippel seconded. Dion Bahr made motion to join State Fire Chief's Ass'n for $50 and Harlan Radke Jr. seconded.

Election results: Re-elected were Dion Bahr and Rodney Kappes for Groton City and Rick Pigors for the rural.

Old Business: Pagers recommended were Nova over Appolo. Seven new members attended new rescue training.

New Business: Rick Pigors made motion for Dale Ringgenberg to order a rubber stamp with name and address on it and Dion Bahr seconded.
