Amsden Lake
Amsden Lake Side use Area has non electric camping with 11 campsites, basic campsites with a table and fire ring. Vault toilets and a boat launch is also at the area. Camping cost is $6 per night, and no entrance fee is required. All campsites are first come first serve, and self registration is done at the park.
Amsden is a man made dam built some time around the 1930's.
The Lake side use area is a quaint little area with a relaxing atmosphere. Amsden is one of the few South Dakota lakes that have Muskellunge, and holds the state record. Other fish can also be caught on the lake such as Walleye, catfish, crappie, blue gill, and bass.
