The department added a third man in 1996 thanks to a grant from President Clinton's COPS FAST program. To call the police locally, dial 911 for emergencies or 397-8100 for non-emergencies. All calls are answered by the Brown County Regional Dispatch Center in Aberdeen and then forwarded to the officer on duty. The crime stoppers hotline is 397-4500.
